The Grady-White 192 Freedom is one versatile boat. It is one of our best selling models largely because of all the things it does well and allows you to do on the water. Like all Grady-White’s, this boat is fully self-bailing, unsinkable, safe, and an amazing rough water performer. We can honestly say Grady-White boats are the best rough water boats available; their Hunt designed SeaV2 hulls provide them that great ride all well being stable at rest, impeccable turning capabilities and dry ride. They truly are masterpieces of engineering and design. Check out this video and come see and drive the extensive selection of Grady-White’s we have available and see what all the hype is about. I’m sure you’ve noticed more and more Grady-White’s on the water… there is a reason why, come on in and see.

The Georgian bay Biosphere Reserve needs all of our help. Click on the link below to see and support this extremely important Georgian Bay initiative. We challenge all our Facebook friends and customers to donate whatever they can. The Biosphere doesn’t have much time to raise the $57,000 in lost funding to stay active.

Check out the Grady-White News page for ever changing exciting Grady-White news.

http://www.gradywhite.com/news/index.php3#89

We’re exceptionally pleased with this most recent post:
CHICAGO, IL: The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has again awarded Grady-White Boats the CSI Award, the trade association’s top recognition for customer satisfaction. 2011 is the tenth year of the association’s study of customer satisfaction among boat and boat engine owners. Grady-White has received the award in the category of fiberglass outboard boats every single year the study has been conducted.

Grady-White Boats has been recognized with the highest ranking for excellence in customer satisfaction in its category by every third party study ever conducted in the marine industry including these ten-in-a-row NMMA CSI awards and eight J.D. Power and Associates awards in a row. (Although the studies may be resumed in the future, the 2008 Boat Competitive Information Study and the subsequent 2009 awards recognition was the last study completed in the marine industry by J.D. Power and Associates).

The marine industry’s CSI Award program honors participating manufacturers that actively measure customer satisfaction and pursue continuous improvement to better serve the customer. The 2011 award recipients achieved and maintained an independently measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction, based on information provided by customers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2011. Participating manufacturers must survey all new boat buyers during this period. For this reporting period, the program surveyed more than 40,000 consumers.

Grady-White received an exceptionally high benchmark score.

As we start the ball rolling for spring 2012 and look forward to what is sure to be another wonderful summer we bid a very familiar face adieu. Our long time technician Garnet has retired after 13 seasons with us. He has returned to his home to spend some more time with his family and pursue some passions he hasn’t had time for. We want to wish him well. That said, everyone at Desmasdon’s Boat Works is ecstatic to welcome John to our team.

John comes to us from a major Muskoka marina and has an extensive marine back ground. He has full Yamaha, Mercury, Mercury Verado, MerCruiser and other marine training including factory training on water ski and wakeboard boats and many other factory courses. We’re excited John has joined our already excellent team of technicians with Wayne and Ryan and our expedient and friendly parts and service personnel in Gwen and Kara.

Welcome John! Please take a minute to say hi to John if you see him so he can put a face to the boats he is working on.

Hello folks. As I write this looking out the window towards the channel it looks like winter. It looks bright and sunny but crisp and cold. That said, this morning as I left the house to come to work the thermometer read 8 degrees and has now hit 11. After a week of -20 this almost 30 degree difference feels positively tropical! The boat is going on the ice shortly for our annual when will it fall through the ice contest and you know what that means; spring is not far away. Stay tuned folks!

Well folks we have a blast of winter that has finally decided to blow through. Our first real cold snap with evening temperatures supposed to dip down to -20 over night for this weekend. Environment Canada warns of windchill temperatures down near -30. Couple that with some snow and flurries that are supposed to come and Pointe au Baril finally gets some winter. It has been a weird winter here. The ice is not good, we have absolutely no snow at all on the ice (it is like a skating rink) and almost no snow at all on land. The snowmobile trails have bare spots on them last time we checked, but that has to be expected as we haven’t had snow in weeks. If winter is just flirting with us again, we’d prefer it simply lets the sun shine through and spring arrive so we can start boating.

Cheers.

The amount of people who came into our booth this year and said, “my friends have a Grady-White and told us it is the only boat to consider” was truly astounding. We have great products, friendly and knowledgeable staff and competitive prices all of which seem to add up to a winning formula.
