Welcome to Desmasdons Boatworks, Leaders in Marine Products and Services since 1946.

Since its establishment by Albert Desmasdon in 1946, Desmasdons Boatworks has grown to be the largest full service marine facility in Pointe au Baril. It continues to grow today under its present owners, Andy and Tonia Blenkarn.

Desmasdons believes passionately in customer service. We do our utmost to exceed your expectations from the cheerful greeting you get at our gas dock to the competent service you receive from Garnet, Wayne and Sean in our service department. Our Marketplace giftshop and store provide some of the area's most interesting and creative gifts as well as a full range of environmentally friendly marine products, Vermont Castings BBQs, and parts for all your boating needs.

New Shoreline 14 :

Pictured to the left is the Shoreline 14 from Rossiter Boats. We've been admiring these boats for a few years now and new for 2008 we are a dealer for this 14 footer.

We've been looking around and reasearching boats over the past years trying to find a small boat that could take a 40hp but would handle the entire family. With gas prices where they are and new regulations put on horsepower restricitons we've had many customers looking for a small boat that can handle 4 or 5 adults and take the waves of the bay. We feel we've found exactly what our customers are looking for. This boat is Coast Gaurd rated for 40hp and 5 adults. We've been through the building facility and tested the boat in the water and were throughly impressed.

We offer a comfortable covered taxi boat service to all islands in the Pointe au Baril area.

We continue to carry fully assembled Vermont Castings Signature Series BBQ Grills and accesories. As we always do, we carefully researched BBQs and assessed the needs of our customers and Vermont Castings came out ahead. Please contact Andy, Tonia or Matt to inquire about our new Grills.

We recently purchased a Wiggins Marina Bull forklift for to better aid our new dry-dock customers. The Wiggins has the capability to lift boats up to 30’ to the 4th level of a storage facility. This machine is designed exclusively for marinas and has features that make this forklift easier on your boat.

We are pleased to announce that new for 2007 that we are a Yamaha package dealer.  With this we now offer Yamaha Outboards on our new boat models as well we are pleased to announce that we can provide parts and service for Yamaha outboards as well as Honda and MerCruiser.  This is another addition we have made to offer our customers more options when considering new boats and motors.

We continue to offer dry-docking boats as opposed to wet boat slips. Please enquire about this opportunity.
